Curriculum Approach & Framework

Our commitment to Quality

At It Takes a Village Daycare Society, we believe in providing a supportive and inclusive environment where every child's unique qualities are celebrated. Our Emergent/play-based approach nurtures curiosity, capability and confidence of children promoting Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum Framework. In this approach, learning experiences are designed based on our observation and reflection of children’s play. The primary objectives of the educators are to be observant, responsive, reflective, and accountable while extending and expanding the children’s learning through play.

It Takes a Village Daycare Society is committed to provide quality care for your child.
As a licensed child care centre, we participate in the province's Quality Matters Program and implement Nova Scotia's Early Learning Curriculum Framework - Capable, Confident and Curious. Quality Matters Program is a great assessment tool that enables us to continuously reflect on our practice and set constructive goals.

Our commitment to Health & Safety

The well-being of every child is our top priority. We maintain rigorous health and safety standards to ensure that our facility is a secure and healthy space for all. Our dedicated team is committed to creating a clean, sanitized, and child-friendly environment where little ones can play, learn, and grow with confidence.

In this classroom, you will see:
●Engaging Interactions: warm smiles, gentle songs, and lots of talking stimulate language development and create a loving bond
